Our Board of Directors
Tina currently serves as the President of the Business Association. She has also held a three-year term as Trustee. Tina began her position as Village Clerk in July of 2012. Prior to that she was a small business owner in the Fairplain area for 15 years. She has held various professional roles in human resources, advertising and project management within the Southwest Michigan area and brings with her a sense of business acumen that has truly benefited the Business Association as well as the Village. Tina also serves on the Board of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.
John is a lifelong resident of the Baroda area and member of BABA since its inception. After a career in the local Tool & Die industry, first as a Tool & Die Maker and then as a Tooling Engineer, he began a series of career transitions. He started Land & Lodge Services in 2008 to serve the local communities home repair and light contracting needs. Then in 2012, he started planting wine grapes to form the basis of Mülln-Heim Vineyards, a combination of fine wine grapes and unique agricultural products. John has served on the board in different capacities for the past 4 years.
Griffin Ott is the BABA Treasurer and has been a part of the Baroda Business Community for over 12 years as an agent at Ott Insurance Agency, Inc. Griffin’s Great Grandfather, Albert Greiffendorf, opened the insurance agency in 1946 and Griffin represents the 4th generation of family in the business. Griffin has served on the board of directors for the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. He also serves our community on the Baroda Fire Department, with previous service on the Lincoln Township Fire Department in Stevensville.
Larry Martin currently serves as a Trustee for the Business Association. Prior to his current position, Larry was President for 4 years. He currently serves on the board of Five Pines Ministries where he also held the President position for 5 years. Larry was a sergeant in the United States Army from 1982-1985. He then moved back to the area to raise his family and has remained in Baroda. In 2007 he started Fence Masters, LLC with his son Jacob. His other son Joshua joined their team several years later. They are now one of the leading fence companies in Berrien County.
Brenda is a new Trustee for the Business Association. She has been the Baroda Township Treasurer since January 2016, and previously served as Deputy Treasurer. She has lived in Baroda for 36 years, on the family farm. She and her husband have two children and six grandchildren. She has a background in the banking industry, where she worked for over 25 years.
